Having received our initial sample set several months ago, we have made some tweaks in order to bring to you what we consider, to be the closest replication to the original style bonnet catch assembly.

Our background research revealed that the MG factory originally used a variety of suppliers of bonnet catches, all more or less to the same design and maker's stampings on the handle varied to include a cluster of hearts, 'EWARTS' and 'WHB'. Our hooked handle tops are stamped with one of the original manufacturer's initials 'WHB' and our catches have the correct fine straight knurl pattern for the base collars. We have specifically requested that the manufacturer of this style of catch now incorporates the correct profile catch pin, i.e. having a conical base using one of our original pins to carefully replicate (see 4th photo below). We suspect that these improvements will again, set a new standard for reproduction of this part to the MMM community.
