We have not had a new batch for circa 24 months and as castings are now in stock, we are looking at having a small batch run prepared within the next few weeks (probably end Feb 2012). Our previous price was £385 per set (no VAT) although unfortunately, we are expecting a price increase as all material prices keep escalating. As usual, we will be setting a highly competitive price and no VAT. These are the late type patterns, i.e. they have the flat milled section on the driver's side to take the windscreen mounted mirror arm.

L/K Type Engine Sump

Throughout the past year or so, several requests have been received from customers requesting sumps for the L/K Type. As it is apparent that these are simply not available anywhere and have not been for many years, we recently engaged our pattern maker to faithfully create a new L/K Type pattern but with a couple of advantageous modifications. As with the N Type sumps we stock, we have incorporated all of the correct pattern reference numbers and this is a current project scheduled for completion late January 2012.

Camstand Caps P/L/K/N

These caps are manufactured locally and exclusively for VMGP. They are produced in heat treated cast iron, fully machined and incorporate the original factory reference numbers to include correct font "MG348-118". The image highlights castings without machining for the dowel pins. This is deliberate as the MG factory used more than one jig during production and therefore, we could not guarantee cap interchangeability if we were to insert the dowels. We are jigged up however, to insert dowel pins but as this cap is precision machined and self-aligning, we see no benefit.

These castings we have produced maybe of interest for cars which have in the past been fitted with non-MG engines or where radiator rebuilds are required.

We recognise that there is a small demand for these and we had to set a price which accommodates our setup and material costs. These castings are produced in LG2 bronze alloy due to it's particularly high lead content and which assists excellent, strong soldering into the header and bottom tank. These are now in stock.

Marshall A75/MK X Supercharger Gear Cover

Here is an in-house designed pattern whereby we have studied an original A75/Mk 10 (X) gear cover which was rather generous in it's wall thickness. We have therefore, improved the design for MMM use and reduced the weight of the casting by 1/2 Kg! We have incorporated bosses at the 12, 1, 6 and 8 o'clock positions. These are for an oil fill point, optional fitting of an oil sight glass and the latter boss being an oil fill overflow in order to assist setting the oil level in line with the middle of the lower (drive) shaft when a sight glass is not being fitted.

The cover incorporates 'Marshall A75', has been cast in LM6 and these are now being machined up ready for double vacuum impregnation at the end of the month. We will carry a small batch in stock.

We supply parts to both the MMM trade and individual MMM enthusiasts.

Many of our parts are manufactured in-house and are not available elsewhere, some are supplied to us, whilst others are specifically made for us and to exacting specifications of original components.

Over the past few years we have developed our manufacturing independence sourcing completely new sources to produce high quality components to include local CNC machinists to the Ministries of Aviation and Defence.

Throughout our revised catalogue format we now specify new standards we are setting in raising the quality and accuracy of some individual parts which have been made available through other sources. We are proud to have raised these standards that are now being recognised and followed by other enthusiasts and suppliers. We also seek to incorporate modifications of certain parts where there is a clear benefit and where there is not a conflict with originality.
